Riki manages to keep her mirth under control as her hand shoots out and grabs the elf's chin, slowly forcing his gaze back up. "Aren't you here to help Dominic?"

"Hey Hey Hey! Im good with magic! And your friend Bern is... Oh... hello. Your definetely an... interesting fellow. Are you a gargoyle or did your mom drop you? Im kidding! So what do you want to know?"

"Be nice Night! Its only for a little while."

"You would be wise to be careful. Anyway I work a lot with shadow spells, maybe you could teach me a couple new ones."

Shaking with ill-contained laughter, Riki moves closer to Dominic. "How...did...you...ever find....him?" Her speech is barely chorenent from the laughs that slip out.

"Nice? Be nice? After the whole "Kitty-bat gotta dance?" Night's voice is clearly disbeliveing.

"We'll.... lets just say i met him at a bar and i helped him look for something. Night that was almost a year ago! Let it go already. He's a good... uh well..... he's ok."

"Well i know a couple of shadow spells. I only use them for distraction myself but i know a couple good ones. The two main ones that i can think of are the Duplication spell, and the shadow whip."

"Hmm. Interesting."

"He's...friendly." With a laugh last and a big grin, she looks down at Nightbringer. "Kitty-bat gotta dance?"

"Never. Ever. Again." Night secludes herself further under the table, with just her tail sticking out. Riki shoots an inquisitive look at Dominic.

"It's a long story. You want me to tell her or do you want you to tell her Night?" Dom looks under the table to look for Nights head.

"Hmm. I think i would like to try out this... Shadow whip. Sounds interesting."

Night growls. "You always make him look like a good guy when you tell it." Peering out at Riki, she sighs. "For whatever human reason, Dominic decided to invite the elf to stay with us at our hotel for a couple of days. Well, one night Marbles decided that he wanted to teach the 'kitty-bat' how to dance. At first, I was okay with it because I was foolishly believing that he meant fighting techniques. So when he said "Okay, kitty, come get me!" I of course placed my paws up on his chest to easily knock the elf backwards. Except, he grabbed my paws and started to spin in slow circles with me! I was utterly humilated."

Riki manages to keep a straight face. "You poor creature, such a horrid experience that must have been."

Nightbringer growls her agreement and watches the elf and gargoyle from under the table's sanctuary.

" Ok then come with me. We need a more silent place to concentrate." Marbles gets up and walks to one of the secluded corners. On the way checking Riki out while she wasn't looking. As he walks a fairly large bag that covers his whole waist like a belt bounces up and down and the sound of glass clattering together can be heard.

"If he messes up im coming after you Dom!" Bern gets up and walks after the odd looking elf.

"Can he actually teach Bern anything?"

"Surprisingly, Marbles has a large field of magic...but each field is marble sized." Night chuckles at her own humor, leaving Riki confused.

"Very funny. Its true though, he has a lot of magic ability. He knows almost every spell imaginable from all elements. Of course theres a limit he can go to."

"Every element? I can't imagine him being that overly powerful, then. Having control of opposite elements can seriously zap your power, I would imagine. Although...control over every element..." Riki ponders this possibility.

"Yes hes very powerful, he was chosen to have this ability and strength. Thats why his hair and eyes are that color. Although thats why he was kicked out..."

"Kicked out? Chosen? Seems like there's more mystery to this elf then first glance."

Nightbringer hisses, but doesn't say anything more. It's quite apparent what she thinks of Marbles.

"Absent-minded, huh? Well...he seemed pretty single minded around me earlier." She chuckles and goes to the bar for a drink.

"I wonder how long it will take Bern to learn it."

"Not sure, he's pretty good with magic and the shadow stuff. I don't think it will take too long." Dom leans back in his chair and chuckles. "Kitty-bat gotta dance. That was a fun night!"

Riki returns with her drink and sips it while watching the news on television, snorting in derision when they mention that Megiddo had finally and unexplainably came to an end. "No credit at all."

Nightbringer comes out from under the table and leaps onto the couch next to Riki.

"Ah Hah! I got it!" The scream can be heard all through out the cafe. In Berns hand is a twelve foot smoky bluish-black whip. It doesn't look like an ordinary whip this one was sharp. It has V shaped blades running down the whip pointing out. (( looks like this. =->->->->->)) The whip is made out of shadows like everyone of Berns spells. He walks over to the table and shows Dom his new toy. "You like?"

Marbles walks over to where Riki was and before speaking to her checks her out one last time. "Hello my angel! Did you miss me?"

Riki grins and decides to play along. No harm in flirting, after all. "Besides, I'm bored." "Oh, you caught me. I missed you so much."

Nightbringer snarls at Marbles and jumps off the couch to be with Bern and Dominic. "I like your whip, Bern. How about you hang the elf with it?"

"Hmm sounds like a good idea. Unfortunetely he has another spell i want." Bern gives his new whip some test swigs accidentely cutting a leg off of one of the chairs.

"I knew it!" He puts his one leg on the couch but misses and stumbles to the ground. The pouch still clattering.

"It's my weapons."

"Hey thats a cool weapon Bern. So when do i get my weapons redone?"

"Don't worry you'll get them. This thing is cool!" Bern releases the spell and the whip slithers into Bern's claws.

"Your weapons? What are they?" She leans closer.

Nightbringer watches the whip disappear. "Well, looks like Marbles isn't a complete waste of life after all. He's mostly one, though."

Using this oppurtunity Marbles trys to get a good "view" at Riki and then reaches into one of the compartments of his pouch and pulls out a little blue glass orb. "There magic. I have tons of them in this thing." He opens up the compartments and reveals all different colors and sizes of the glass orbs. Some even with mulitiple colors in them. He then throws the blue one in a empty corner on the ground and makes it break. A circular wave comes up like a cyclone and after a long while desipates.

"Wow! I love it when he does that!"

"Very interesting! Where did he get them?"

"You have magic marbles? That's...uhh...well, I can't really think of anything to describe that." Wanting to see more of the pouch, she leans all the way across the table and grabs it. "What's with the different colors?"

"Hey, only on the second date!.... There two elements put together. This red and blue one will create a ring of fire that will fill up with water without killing the fire. It took me a while to make those ones. AND THERE NOT MARBLES!"

"He made them. Thats what i was talking about when i said he was powerful with limitations. He has a huge amount of magic ability but he can only use a small fragment at a time. So he captures these in the marbles."

Riki ignores the second date comment and continues to rifle through the bag. "They look like marbles to me. Hey, this one is purple! I wonder what it does." Dropping the bag, she studies the purple marble before throwing it at the floor in the center of the cafe.

The door is flung open with considerable force and Tor steps in. Given the fact he's waving a beer can, it seems he's back to his 'normal' self

..and then I said to them, that's no pan-dimensional being, that's my wif~ At that point, the temperature of his voice drops from it's usual fairly warm to hovering above absolute zero ...Elf.
Somewhat surprisingly, he seems to spit the word out as if it's mere existence offends him.
With a pointed glare, he sits in the furthest possible corner from the elf

"Oh, damn! No..." The orb smashes on the ground. Almost all of the shadows in the cafe gather to where the orb was. They start to rise, forming a strange figure. When the spell completes, an exact copy of Marbles stands in the middle of the cafe, made out of shadows. Marbles starts to rummage through his pouch frantically. He then pulls out a grayish looking orb. "Aha, here it is!" He throws the orb smashing it near the Shadow Marbles making it disappear immeditatly.

"Wow! Never seen that one before, eh?"

"What the...He's been holding out on me!" Bern is intrigued by the orbs, watching the pouch containing them with glowing eyes. "I wonder what else he has in there..."

Riki grins and looks a little disappointed. "What was that? It was really cool."

"Looks like he picked up some new spells...good thing he got rid of the second one, one Marbles is bad enough as it is."

"That was a distraction spell. It makes a shadow of me and when the enemy is going after the shadow i escape. The little gray orb I threw nuetralizes any spell i use immeditialy"

"I got to get me some of them!!" Dom runs over to see what else Marbles has.

"This guy could be more useful then i thought!"

Tor wanders over to the counter next to Pax, still notably keeping as far away from the elf as possible, and grabs himself a beer. He looks Pax up and down a bit and grins

Dragon? Been a while since I've seen a dragon around here. For some reason they never seem to like me.

He laughs a quiet little laugh, considering that no-one else in the room was likely to get the joke

Riki whistles admiringly and glances at the pouch of marbles. "I'd do pretty good with some of those for myself." Grinning sweetly, she slides up next to Marbles. "Those are some fine weapons you have there. And you have so many of them! Could I tease you out of any?"

"Well...uh... im not .... uh ...sure. If i give some to you every one will want one. But I think I could spare a few for you!" Marbles opens up his bag and shows Riki every "Marble" he has.

"You know your gonna give me some shadow... orbs." Bern had slinked around and behind the two and listened to there conversation about the orbs.

"Say Night. Wanna dance?"

"Why thank you, Marbles." Riki says in the sweetest voice she can manage to hold without laughing.

Night's long claws narrowly miss Dominic's leg as she swipes and hisses at him before stalking off to catch more mice.

"Well which ones do you want Riki? Uhh... ok bern. You're the only two i'll give a couple to ok? Im guessing you want my shadow orbs right?" Marbles reaches into his pouch and takes out five little purple orbs. "I have more then enough of these! I rarely use them."

"Thanks Marbles. Your not that bad of a guy!" Bern gives Marbles a big slap on the back and takes the "marbles" and examines them.

"God i love doing that!" Becoming bored he gets up and walks over to the rest of the gang. Looking around he notices Tor talking to the dragon.

"Do you have any light or lightning? Those are really the elements I'm fond of." She moves closer to Marbles, interested in the bag and also peering at Bern's new orbs.

Nightbringer also grows bored and decides to have some fun revenge. Moving silently, she sneaks up under Marble's chair and, using all of her strength, jumps up onto her back legs, knocking his chair backwards and hopefully spilling the elf.
